U2 360 Degrees Tour

The Irish rock band’s latest album, No Line on the Horizon, may not be the best they’ve ever done, even this decade, but U2 continue to prove their ambition to be one of the most celebrated live bands of their time. Since Led Zeppelin went on world tours we haven’t had the same element of excitement since a band hit the stadiums. How has U2’s live tour been going so far?

The one thing that has made their latest tour so exciting is the acts they have chosen to support them across Europe and America. We haven’t seen such an excellent mix of live bands, not since the rather laughable in hindsight Monsters of Rock tour, and we certainly haven’t seen the like on what is meant to be one band’s album-promoting tour.

Supported by Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs, along with Bell X1 and Glasvegas in Europe and Muse and the Black Eyed Peas (I don’t know either) in the US, this is clearly why the tour has been so acclaimed so far. But not just the support acts, U2 have been impressive so far. Hopefully they continue to be come America…
