Bon Jovi - The Circle
News has been released that the fans have been waiting for, New Jersey’s four-piece rock ‘n roll outfit will release their 11th studio album in November, with the title confirmed as “The Circle”. With two very polarised albums being their last studio releases it is hard to predict in just what genre The Circle will fit.
Have a Nice Day (2005) and Lost Highway (2007) were as different as two albums could be without having been made by different artists. Lost Highway was a dip into country which pleased new fans and yet somehow kept the die-hard happy with distinctive melodic and vocal flairs. Have a Nice Day was gritty yet radio friendly pop stadium rock which made the band sound young again. It is anyones guess which way this one will go, and when the lead song from the album is released to radios I’ll post the verdict here.
One thing we can be sure, though, is that it heralds another world tour, of massive proportions. Sambora, resident guitarist for 25 years, is fresh out of his time in rehab and has already hinted that this will be their biggest tour so far this century. With the tour from 2000/2001 not an easy one top, taking in Asia, Europe and America (twice), this is a big and exciting claim.
