Jonas Brothers release new album

The Jonas Brothers is a pop boy band made up of three brothers, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. They rose to fame under the tutellage of their parent company, Disney, having appeared in the kids’ cable channel, Disney Channel, and starred in Camp Rock, a Disney movie.
Last June 16, 2009, the band released their fourth album, “Lines, Vines and Trying Times,” produced by John Fields and executively produced by their dad, Kevin Jonas, Sr.
What does the title of the album stand for? “Lines are something that someone feeds you, vines are the things that get in the way, and trying times, well, that’s obvious,” said one of the brothers in an interview with the Rolling Stone magazine.
As expected, the album is dominated by pop. But there are also some attempts to get out of the stereotype. “What Did I Do to Your Heart” is country-ish, and “Don’t Charge Me for the Crime” is a collaboration with rapper Common.
“Much Better” is a song supposed to be inspired by Joe Jonas’ breakup with country-pop singer-songwriter Taylor Swift last year.
A notable song is “Black Keys,” which is written by the youngest brother, Nick.
