Counting and Numbers
This cd is one of my favorite cds to use in my preschool classroom. It is entitled Counting and Numbers and features the following songs: Five Little Fish, The Number 2, One Little Owl, This Old Man, Piece of Paper, Five Little Monsters, Countasaurus, 2,4,6,8, 10, Five Friends, More or Less?, Marching Along, and Counting to Ten.
Five Little Fish is a really cute song that can be used as a fingerplay. Either use your hands or you may wish to make a flannel board out of it.
The number 2 song gets you moving. In it you will be seeing which things on your body you have two of, such as your eyes, your feet and your hands.
The children will have fun hooting to One Little Owl. This song is great for teaching counting up to the number 5 as well.
My favorite song is Countasaurus. You do counting as the countasaurus tells you to. He may ask for one super spin or 6 toe touches.
